HotGigs Business Description:
HotGigs staffing solutions is a startup company created to help efficiently source and manage contract and full time workers using next generation web based technology. Founded by Doug Berg (previous founder of techies.com), HotGigs was venture funded with over $5.5 million in July of 2006 with aggressive plans for growth.
Challenge:
Post funding, HotGigs needed to aggressively plan, hire and on-board a team of professionals to launch the next phase of this technology start-up. The company needed to add 25 employees quickly (in 1-2 months) primarily in the sales and marketing areas; however the company lacked HR resources and capacity to accomplish this strategic initiative internally, which is usually the case with most startups.
Solution:
People Factor worked closely with HotGigs founders to aggressively develop a staffing strategy to support the business objectives including the creation of job profiles, reporting hierarchy, compensation plans, interview and selection criteria, on-boarding plans, and a comprehensive recruiting plan.
Results:
People Factor successfully launched the recruiting program and was able to identify and meet the staffing plan established — which helped HotGigs launch the next phase of it’s business and met the investors expectations.
HotGigs also used People Factors human capital consulting services to develop an employee resource guide, new-hire orientation program, and performance management program, which provided the new employees and management team with a solid foundation for managing.
