Coloplast Business Description:
Coloplast develops, manufactures and markets medical devices and services to improve the quality of life for people in the areas of Urology, Ostomy and Skin Care. The corporation employs more than 7,000 people around the globe.
Challenge:
While relocating its North American headquarters from Atlanta, Georgia to Minneapolis, Minnesota the resulting reorganization required Coloplast’s HR department to leverage resources during this unusual period of demand.
Solution:
Coloplast partnered with People Factor for human capital consulting services and end- to- end talent acquisition services, freeing HR staff to focus on ongoing core business demands.
Results:
People Factor helped Coloplast enhance its perception among the medical device community as a desirable employment brand while improving the effectiveness and efficiency of its talent acquisition program. And People Factor created an onboarding toolkit allowing new Coloplast employees to enjoy a smoother transition and to begin contributing right away. Finally, Coloplast utilized People Factor to review and revise their corporate auto program as well as conduct a review of potential sales assessment/profiling tools.
Using People Factor as an extension of the human capital function enabled Coloplast HR staff to successfully manage the rest of the Coloplast team during this unusual time in the company’s history.
“Moving a corporate headquarters always carries risk. Reorganization and new hires along with the need to manage remaining employees and day-to-day business can put a strain on HR as well as the whole organization. People Factor not only helped us manage through that time, but enhanced our HR capabilities in the process.”
